Parade of Lights 2018

To: Parents/Guardians, Marching Band, Flags, Rifles and Banner.

What: The Parade is November 24th call time 4:00 PM. All parade contestants must be in place by 4:30 PM Parade begins at 5:30 PM

Where: The corner of Colorado and Evans. Roncalli is #11 in the parade. Roncalli should step off shortly after 5:30 PM and end around 6:30 PM. 

Students should be dropped off at the corner of Quincy and Evans. Student can walk to the designated spot on Colorado (see map). Vehicles will not be allowed into the parade line-up area to drop-off participants.  

The Parade will begin at Colorado and Abriendo, proceed down the hill to Union Avenue and continue on Union to Main Street and Main to 6th Street where it will end near the downtown Pueblo Bank & Trust, on the corner of 6th & Court (Please see the Pueblo Parade of Lights website for parade route).

Parents make arrangements to pick-up students at the end of the parade route around 6:30 PM!! Have cell phones ready and a designated meeting place to pick up your child.

Extra parking is available in the Downtown area at PB&T Motor Bank lot at 2nd & Court and Pueblo Chamber at 4th & Santa Fe


Marching Band/Drumline/Flags: Roncalli black button down dress shirt or black polo with a long sleeve black shirt under it, solid black pants (no designs) solid black socks and solid black tennis/casual shoes.

Drummers may decorate their drums with wrapping paper, lights, bows, garland. ect….  

All members are encouraged to accessorize with lights and holiday decorations. Do not bring your own Santa/Holiday hats. Santa hats will be provided and must be turned in to Mr. Smith at the end of the parade.

Dress according to the weather!! If it is cold wear clothing items that will keep you warm. Thermals, long sleeves, coats, earmuffs, scarfs, gloves. If wearing gloves check to see if you can play in them. You may need to find an inexpensive light pair that you can cut the finger tips off so you can play your instrument.

Dress Warm!!

Students are responsible for taking and bringing back their instruments/equipment. Unless the student has prearranged for Mr. Smith to take the instrument. Do not leave anything behind at the end of the route!!

Check the Parade of Lights Website or the School website if you need to be reminded of any information!

Parent volunteers that would like to accompany the band on the route to help in anyway including taking care of a student that may need to fall out are welcome please text or call Mr. Smith.
